Globally, YouthBuild USA and YouthBuild International advocate for expanded resources to open doors for more low-income young people who desire to engage in rebuilding their communities and their lives. In the United States we support all efforts that will allow one million opportunity youth to reconnect to education, employment, and national service each year.
In particular, YouthBuild USA leads the advocacy for expanding the annual federal appropriation for the USDOL YouthBuild Program. This is a highly effective, results-driven, holistic federal program which funds YouthBuild programs in the United States. We also advocate for funding for YouthBuild programs at the state and local levels.
In keeping with our broader mission, YouthBuild USA also advocates for public policies focused on advancing opportunities for young people in the areas of education, employment, national service, and reforms to the criminal justice system.
