VOICES Student Advisory Council
YouthBuild USA’s Postsecondary Education (PSE) Initiative’s student advisory council, VOICES ("Views On Improving Credential & Education Success"), was launched in 2008 and consists of YouthBuild students and graduates who are either enrolled in a postsecondary program (two or four year colleges, technical schools and apprenticeships) or are identified as being on the PSE track at their local YouthBuild program.
VOICES members inform YouthBuild USA of the necessary supports and resources students need to successfully transition from a YouthBuild program to postsecondary education. Members are nominated by their local program that participates in the PSE Initiative, to serve up to three years on the council. There are three key areas that members provide input: academics, financial aid, and student support services.
