The film takes a close look at several examples of President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Initiative, a collaborative effort across the country to allow all young people, regardless of race or socioeconomic background, to reach their full potential. In addition to Yuba-Sutter YouthBuild, the film also highlights the work of Urban Prep Academies, Youth Guidance’s Becoming a Man (B.A.M.) Program, and Halstead Academy.

The documentary features commentary from President Obama during which he talks about his own experience growing up as a young man of color and discusses the importance of the My Brother’s Keeper Initiative.
