Use of the YouthBuild logo
Only members of the Affiliated Network have permission to use the YouthBuild logo, which can be used for the member program’s apparel, printed materials, Web sites, etc. Members are strongly encouraged to use the YouthBuild logo to help establish each affiliate program as part of a nationwide movement, which in turn assists the movement in advocating for YouthBuild on a national level.

Assistance with data management and reporting
YouthBuild USA’s Web-based Student Tracking Application (WebSTA) is a custom online system for collecting student demographic, attendance, participation, outcome, and placement data. All affiliates are required to enter data into WebSTA. YouthBuild USA provides free assistance in data reporting to all affiliates.

Contact YouthBuild USA’s Data Management Team at support@ybwebsta.org or 617-741-1270 (Ann Medeiros), 617-741-1261 (Paul Gauthier), or 617-741-1230 (Erin Rodriguez).

Loans
YouthBuild affiliates receive special rates and consideration for a variety of loans available through the YouthBuild Loan Fund. The fund, established with funding from the Ford Foundation, offers YouthBuild programs the opportunity to obtain lines of credit, bridge loans, loans against YouthBuild USA pass-through grants, and real-estate development loans to address program needs. In 2007, YouthBuild USA made almost $1.6 million in loans to local YouthBuild programs.

Contact Charlie Clark at 617-741-1288 or cclark@youthbuild.org.

Grants
Members of the Affiliated Network are eligible to receive pass-through grants from YouthBuild USA. Additionally, YouthBuild USA constantly researches new grant opportunities that may be available directly to local programs and keeps its affiliates up-to-date through a monthly electronic newsletter. Currently, pass-through grants are available to full (not provisional) members of the Affiliated Network.

To receive the Funding Opportunities newsletter, contact Zoisa Edwards at zedwards@youthbuild.org.

Staff fellows programs
Staff of affiliated programs can take advantage of fellows programs for teachers, directors, or counselors. In years when there is adequate funding, twelve outstanding practitioners are selected for each fellows program. The fellows program consists of three 3-day retreats per year; they are designed to strengthen the professional capacity of YouthBuild program staff through skill development, peer mentoring and support, problem solving, and new theory learning.
