Past Academy for Transformation Events

More than 225 directors, program managers, instructional leaders, AmeriCorps partnership members, teachers, counselors, graduates, and young people attended the three events that constituted the YouthBuild Transformation Institute, Oct. 23-27, 2006 in Atlanta, GA!

As a National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) National Training Sponsor, YouthBuild USA has certified 70 craft instructors at sites, thereby strengthening the professional credentials of staff while bringing new work-related opportunities to their students.  If these instructors certify only 10 students each year, YouthBuild USA is  providing NCCER certificates to nearly 20% of YouthBuild graduates.

More than two hundred, program managers, instructional leaders, teachers, counselors, program managers, alumni and young people attend the 5 events that made up the Transformation Institute in Cambridge July 28-August 3, 2006.

In April 2006, the YouthBuild Academy for Transformation held a Transformation Institute in Redondo Beach, CA for directors, staff, teachers, counselors, policy-makers, and funders from the youth development, youth leadership, youth employment, after-school, and education arenas.

This conference took place January 24-28, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada

In October 2005, the YouthBuild Academy for Transformation held a transformation conferences in Arlington, VA for directors, staff, teachers, counselors, policy-makers, and funders from the youth development, youth leadership, youth employment, after-school, and education arenas. 200 people left more inspired, empowered, skilled, connected, and renewed.

In July 2005, the YouthBuild Academy for Transformation Summer Transformation Institute was held in St. Louis, MO. Workshops included:

• Fundamentals of YouthBuild;
• Green Building;
• Quantum Learning For Teachers – Advanced;
• DOL Re-Entry Grantee Workshop;
• and a Site Visit to YouthBuild St. Louis AmeriCorps.

The Transformation Institute and Spring YouthBuild Conference was a great success! The event was held at the Crown Plaza in Redondo Beach, CA, a beautiful hotel that was a perfect fit for the event. The conference was a multi-tiered learning environment that was inspiring, informative, impactful, innovative, energizing, transformational, powerful, and fun.
