Michele Courton-Brown is senior vice president of Charitable Management Services at Bank of America. The Charitable Management Services manages more than 3,500 family foundations, private foundations, and charitable trusts totaling $5.2 billion in assets. From 1999-2002, Michele served as founding president of the FleetBoston Financial Foundation, which contributed more than $25 million annually to charitable endeavors. In 2004, Michele co-authored Just Money: A Critique of Contemporary American Philanthropy. Michele's civic involvement includes serving on the boards of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, YouthBuild USA, The Partnership, The Chestnut Hill School, Center for Women & Enterprise, Museum of Afro-American History, the Boston Symphony Orchestra Overseers, and the Wang Center for the Performing Arts. In 2001, Michele was appointed by Massachusetts Acting Governor Jane Swift as a trustee of Roxbury Community College.
Michele earned a B.A. in Economics and Urban Studies from Boston University. She currently lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, with her husband and two children.
