Karen Fulbright-Anderson is a co-director of the Roundtable on Community Change of the Aspen Institute where she directs a number of Roundtable projects on topics such as evaluation, structural racism, youth development, and public and private sector engagement in community change. She also serves as the chair of Policy Programs for the Aspen Institute. Previously, she was director of research for the Vera Institute of Justice. Karen has extensive experience in the philanthropic sector, having worked at the Ford Foundation and the Commonwealth Fund where she developed funding strategies to improve outcomes for young people in high-poverty communities. Karen has been a faculty member at The New School for Social Research and a visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is currently on the board of trustees for the Institute for Community Peace and YouthBuild USA, and a member of the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) Youth Board, the DYCD Workforce Investment Board Youth Council, and the MIT School of Architecture and Planning Visiting Committee.
