YouthBuild USA offers a variety of awards and honors to exceptional graduates including the Rudy Award for Perfect Attendance and the National Honors Award. The Rudy Award was created in 1991 by YouthBuild USA to honor Rudy Griffiths, a YouthBuild Boston graduate who had perfect attendance. It is given annually to graduating YouthBuild students who have achieved perfect attendance at their programs. Rudy Award winners are given a placque honoring their accomplishments, and a $100 award. YouthBuild USA also recognizes National Honors Awards (who achieve a set of goals outlined in the YouthBuild Program Design and Performance Standards) with honors certificates.
Hall of Achievement
Graduates and staff of affiliated programs can nominate a graduate for Hall of Achievement recognition. This recognition is designated for graduates who have achieved a significant landmark in their education, career, or community. Selected graduates are recognized and celebrated via updates that are distributed to the YouthBuild field and the Graduate Leader Network. Graduate achievements that warrant nomination for this award include, but are not limited to the earning of a college degree, a promotion to journeyman or a management position, the purchase of a home, or exceptional service or leadership activity.
