YouthBuild is requesting $170 million in federal funding for Fiscal Year 2010, and our champions in Congress are leading the effort to gain as much support as possible for our request. The YouthBuild support letter is sent to both the Senate and House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies.
Senators John Kerry (D-MA) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME) are finalizing the Senate support letter. The House letter was circulated by Rep. John Lewis (D-GA). Reps. Mike Turner (R-OH), Nydia Velazquez (D-NY) and Shelly Moore Capito (R-WV) signed the YouthBuild support letter and continue to be leading champions in the House.
